“When I was in high school I remember thinking how tired I was each day. College, all nighters, studying and partying had to be the most tired anyone could ever be. A school teacher lesson-planning all night waking up early to grade tests couldn’t possibly get less sleep than that. Uncomfortably pregnant using the bathroom 4-7 times a night absolutely the most sleep deprived anyone could be. Little did I know that all of those nights were the most restful nights I’d ever have.
Having a newborn, panicking about they’re breathing combined with them waking up every hour to eat, now that was sleep deprivation. But, the tiny innocent precious human being was worth every second of missed sleep. As a new mom I’m sure that as the family grows the sleep deprivation does too, so I’m going to go ahead and enjoy the few hours of zzz’s I catch while I only have one.” -Melissa
